Doctor Day

Today (Thursday) we went to see our new pediatrician. Yes Ava just got out of the hospital on Wednesday but the appointment was made last week when we thought she would be home on Friday. The trip was interesting. First of all, have you ever tried to crawl to that back seat of a Tahoe while holding a car seat and dodging the bases of the other two? That was a tight squeeze. Then we had to get Diana back there before we could put the other two babies in. After everyone else was in I looked around and there were three doors open. I told Diana I felt like a cab driver shutting doors behind people.

Second, we didn't plan our time too well. By the time we got everyone fed it was really time to go and we had not changed their clothes yet. We hurriedly got them changed and went through the above procedure of getting them in the car. We arrived at the Doctor's office (after we found it) about 15 minutes late. Of course everyone was excited to see the triplets and it wasn't a real big deal that we were late......but we ended up waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours. This is when Diana related to me that she had forgotten to pack the bottles.....What? No food for three fussy babies? (Well we had the food "source" but we were not going to go there...) Anyway, we finally saw the Doctor and was headed home 15 minutes AFTER the appointed feeding time. Well we were wanting to change the babies to a 4 hour schedule gradually, so maybe this gets us off to a good start!

For the record at 6 weeks and 1 day old:
Eli weighed 5 lbs 15 oz
Ali weighed 5 lbs 2 oz
Ava weighed 4 lbs 14 oz

Tomorrow will be the first full day for us to all be at home......stay tuned.
